Honored to grace KenGen’s 2nd Sustainable Energy Conference themed “Renewable Energy for Sustainable Development” as the Chief Guest.

I commended KenGen’ s board, the management team, partners – led by Nation Media Group and energy sector stakeholders for creating a platform where policy meets innovation and investors meet opportunity.

As a Ministry, we see the urgency of stabilizing our grid, investing in renewables and tackling energy poverty while positioning Kenya as a global leader in geothermal, hydrogen and green growth. In this regard, we welcome and fully support initiatives such as this to push forward this agenda.

This conference is a launchpad for concrete action, with government committed to providing a predictable policy environment and enabling private sector investment to drive Africa’s renewable energy revolution.
