Together with PS Chris Kiptoo (National Treasury), we witnessed the signing of the KETRACO–Africa50 Public–Private Partnership project agreements aimed at strengthening Kenya’s national power transmission backbone.

The proposed construction of transmission lines and substations will provide critical reinforcements to the national grid, enhancing system reliability and resilience.

The partnership with Africa50 will support local capacity building, facilitate the transfer of global best practices, and create opportunities for Kenyan engineers and contractors.

The Ministry remains fully committed to facilitating timely approvals, wayleave acquisition, coordination with county governments, and robust monitoring to ensure smooth and timely implementation of the project.
