Accompanied by Senator Aaron Cheruyiot and Hon. Nelson Koech, I officially launched the Borborwet TBC and Cheptigit Village Electrification Projects in Belgut Constituency by symbolically erecting a pole to mark the commencement of works.
The Borborwet TBC project will connect 128 customers, while the Cheptigit Village Electrification Programme will benefit 95 customers, bringing the total to 233 new connections.
These initiatives form part of the Last Mile Electricity Programme in Kericho County, valued at KES 1.4 billion, which targets to connect 14,630 households across the county, including 2,246 households in Belgut Constituency.
They underscore the Government’s commitment to accelerating rural electrification through the Last Mile Connectivity Programme, ensuring equitable access to power across all regions and empowering communities to harness new opportunities in education, health, and enterprise.
