Alex Kamau Wachira Foundation
Background
The existence of Alex Kamau Wa-Total Foundation (AK-F) is a case of continuous need based transformation. The foundation’s concept was originally founded in 2006 as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Kieni by Alex Kamau Wachira, having been inspired to address the joblessness, poverty and diseases that muted the productivity of people in Kieni constituency Nyeri County. The genesis of Kieni’s problems however is the high rate of poverty that results to school dropout cases and eventually increased rate of joblessness. This reality and with increased dire need in the whole of Nyeri County, instigated Alex Kamau Wachira to join hands with other stakeholders to expand activities to entire Nyeri County at large. To strengthen capacity and broaden community coverage, Alex Kamau Wachira decided to transform his work into Alex Kamau Wa-Total Foundation, a charitable Organization registered with the Registrar of Companies, under companies Act, 2015
