My Bio

I was born and raised in serene Kambi Village,Kieni Constituency Nyeri County. As a norm of every African parent, my parents ensured that they strictly with zeal and dedication facilitated our education, together with my three sisters. Illiteracy is a great enemy, they would be heard saying while ensuring that we became a product of public Education.

I started my education at Irigithathi primary school before proceeding to Kambi primary school and later joined Kamuka boarding school where I did my KCPE.

I then joined Chinga Boys high school for my secondary school, and it’s here where I did my KCSE.  Chinga Boys High School gave me a resolved opportunity to join the Mighty University of Nairobi , KNH Campus. Mighty because, who else didn’t want to be associated with Nairobi city? Here, I studied Bachelor of Science In Nursing and graduated in 2006.

Are you seeing a nurse? A nurse with a degree from University of Nairobi. At this juncture, you should be seeing a very dedicated professional nurse, working in one of the  biggest Hospitals in the Country. Fate had it all, that despite taking my tertiary education path in the medical field, I didn’t get to practice it. Instead, I began my career in financial sector after being an intern during Safaricom IPO in 2008. From then, i got a chance to explore my capabilities and find my passion that led me to an investment banker professionally.

Medical field and financing are two worlds apart. Passion for what I loved doing won against the medical field that I had trained.

I first  worked with Dye and Blair Investment Bank and Genghis Capital before working at Faida Investment  bank where I traded and structured Treasury Bonds and Cooperate Bonds at the Nairobi stock Exchange. This was before I was appointed as the-Principal Secretary , state Department for Energy in December 2022.

I became a founding member of the Bonds Market Association and a Member of the Steering Committee of the Kenya Association of Stock Brokers and Investment Bankers,  (KASIB). My contribution to the bonds Markets, saw me appointed to the Central Depositing project.

While at Campus, I served as  Secretary General  (sec-gen)  for both  NUNSA and confederation of Medical Students Association. I have had an opportunity to engage in community service as a Board Member in two Secondary Schools.

In 2022, having a strong believe in all my leadership services encounter, and having engaged in Community activities, I courageously vied for the Member of Parliament seat in Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County under UDA ticket.  While still at it, I was the UDA party’s President  Cordinator in Nyeri County.

As  a seasoned energy sector leader,I joined the State Department for Energy as Principal Secretary with extensive experience in finance and investment banking. my expertise spans high-level structuring and trading of financial instruments, strategic leadership in energy reform, and cross-sectoral collaboration, aligning closely with the objectives of the Kenya Kwanza Manifesto.
