I attended a follow-up meeting chaired by H.E. Kithure Kindiki on preparations for the launch of the proposed East Africa Regional Oil Refinery Project in Lamu County.

The refinery will strengthen Kenya’s position as a regional petrochemical and energy logistics hub, while unlocking the economic potential of Lamu and the wider Coast region through job creation, investment and industrial development.

We remain committed to ensuring that this transformative project is successfully delivered and contributes meaningfully to Kenya’s industrialisation, economic growth and the development of the Coast region.
