Hosted a bilateral session with Ms. Sandra Kassab, Director of the Africa Department at the French Development Bank (AFD) and H.E Arnaud Suquet, the French Ambassador to Kenya, to deepen France–Kenya cooperation in the energy sector, focusing on geothermal development, last-mile connectivity, off-grid solutions and transmission upgrades.

We also signed a grant agreement of EUR 500,000 under the Kenya–Tanzania–Uganda–France (KTUF) Geothermal Partnership Project to co-create strategies, build capacity and apply best practices across the geothermal value chain.

This partnership reaffirms the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening collaborations that will empower KenGen and the Geothermal Development Company (GDC) to deliver transformative interventions for national development.
