This morning, I conducted an inspection tour of the Isiolo Substation to assess its preparedness and operational readiness ahead of the official commissioning of the 132 kV Rimuruti–Nanyuki–Isiolo Transmission Line.
I am encouraged by the progress made and the commitment demonstrated by the project team in ensuring that all systems are ready for commissioning.
Once commissioned, the transmission line will enhance the reliability and stability of electricity supply across the region by strengthening the grid and supporting the integration of multiple power sources, ultimately powering economic growth and improving the quality of life for our people.
