Joined the KenGen managerial team, led by the MD Eng. Peter Njenga, as they presented a Ksh. 3 billion cheque to CS National Treasury, John Mbadi, a remarkable proof of the company’s strong performance and contribution to Kenya’s energy sector.
The government’s unwavering support has been instrumental in expanding geothermal development which is KenGen’s key generation source in Olkaria.
In a further boost to the energy sector, the National Treasury has pledged support for upcoming KenGen projects, including Kamburu Solar, Gogo Hydropower, the expansion of Olkaria iii Power Plant, and further drilling of wells in Paka and Menengai fields.
Additionally, significant investments will go into transmission and distribution infrastructure, with KETRACO and Kenya Power playing key roles in enhancing efficiency and reliability across the national grid
