This afternoon, I hosted the new Head of Cooperation at the German Embassy Ms. Maren Kneller, accompanied by Kristina Laarman, Country director KfW – German Development Bank, and Hannah Salian from GIZ.

Kenya and Germany have enjoyed great cooperation in the energy sector and this meeting underscores the great cordial relations between both countries.

Thanks to the support from the German government, we continue to modernize the energy sector through financial and technical cooperation in; developing regulatory frameworks, geothermal energy development & drilling, clean cooking and off-grid electrification, promotion of green hydrogen and grid strengthening . I took time to welcome Ms. Maren to this new assignment as we work together to advance more Kenya-German cooperation.
