Presided over the official launch of the Kericho County Last Mile Connectivity Programme.
The KSh 1.4 billion initiative under the last mile connectivity programme is aimed at ensuring every household has access to safe, reliable and affordable power.
The project will replace 48 faulty transformers and connect 14,630 new households to the national grid, significantly expanding coverage in rural and peri-urban areas through the AFD/EU/EIB financing implemented by @Kenya Power and GOK under REREC.
This marks a major step forward in bridging the energy access gap, empowering families, schools, health centres and small businesses, thereby stimulating economic activity, enhancing security, supporting digital inclusion and driving social development in line with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA)
