On a development visit to Kakamega County, I presided over the launch of a series of electrification projects in Navakholo Constituency, marking yet another milestone in our collective journey towards reliable energy access and improved livelihoods.
The projects unveiled include the Bukhubalo Village Electrification Project, the Mauna Village Electrification Project and the Mukwa Village Project, which will connect more than 600 households to the national grid.
These interventions will light homes while also powering small businesses, strengthening learning institutions and enhancing healthcare delivery, emphasize the role of electricity in driving socio-economic transformation.
In my address, I also engaged the community on the urgent need for the privatization of sugar companies, reminding them that efficiency and profitability in this sector is essential for safeguarding jobs, improving farmer earnings and revitalizing the economy of Western Kenya.
Present were the host MP Hon. Emmanuel Wangwe, Kakamega County Woman Rep. Hon. Elsie Muhanda among other regional and community leaders
