These include transmission lines being developed by the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO) through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), geothermal projects at Menengai and other fields under the Geothermal Development Company (GDC), Accelerating the last mile connectivity through REREC and KPLC, the Kenya Electricity Generating Company’s (KenGen) proposed 500MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Manufacturing Plant.

We underscored the importance of consumer protection through tariff regulation and service guarantees, while commending the Committee’s vital oversight role in ensuring policy implementation and securing Kenya’s energy future.
