Together with fellow PS Anne Wang’ombe (Gender), I participated in the Grassroots Leaders and Stakeholders Sensitization Forum for the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project in Nyeri County.
This flagship government initiative seeks to increase employment, earnings, and promote savings among 820,000 youth across 1,450 wards through three key pathways: On-Job Experience, Recognition of Prior Learning, and Business Support with start-up grants of KSh 50,000.
I emphasized that fostering a culture of saving will enable Kenya to mobilize local resources for infrastructure development and reduce reliance on foreign borrowing, thereby strengthening our economic resilience.
