Honoured to attend the opening ceremony of the 21st AMECEA Plenary Assembly (Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa) in Nairobi, themed “AMECEA’s Synodal Journey with Young People: Building Bridges of Communion, Hope, Justice and Good Governance,” which was graced by the Prime Cabinet Secretary, H.E. Musalia Mudavadi.
The three-day assembly has brought together Catholic bishops from across the AMECEA region to reflect on the Church’s synodal journey while reaffirming its commitment to nurturing the faith of young people and empowering them to play a central role in shaping the future of the Church and society.
May the deliberations of this historic gathering bear lasting fruit for the Church and the people of Eastern Africa by strengthening spiritual formation, expanding opportunities for young people, and inspiring a generation rooted in faith, hope, justice, good governance, and selfless service.
