The WGC2026 attracted 88 countries from around the world, geothermal associations, and private companies in drilling, geothermal exploration and power plants construction. This stage provided Kenya an opportunity to showcase our potential.
Kenya is implementing an ambitious geothermal development roadmap aimed at increasing installed geothermal capacity to approximately 1,700 MW by 2030 and 3,000 MW by 2043.
In this regard, we hosted a breakfast meeting courtesy of KenGen Kenya to pitch this ambition to investors and partners, sharing our vision to ensure that the 10,000 MW geothermal potential is harnessed and utilized for Economic growth.
